The DigCompEdu framework
DigCompEdu is the European Framework for the Digital Competence of Educators, published in 2017 by the Joint Research Centre (JRC) of the European Commission. It defines 22 competences organised in 6 areas, with 6 proficiency levels from Newcomer (A1) to Pioneer (C2). It addresses teachers at all levels of education, university lecturers, vocational trainers and school leaders.
